From the Adirondack Council:

The not-for-profit organization represents an international effort to raise awareness of the need to decrease carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere to 350 parts per million. The next International Day of Climate Action takes place on Oct. 24. Citizens around the globe will participate in various actions to emphasize that 350 parts per million is the number that we need to get back to in order to bring climate change under control.

The Adirondack Council is looking for 350 (or more!) people who will commit to an alternative commute to work or school on Oct. 24th. If you drive alone, find a friend to commute with you. Can you bike, walk or use public transportation? Already getting high marks for your travel methods? Accompany a family member or friend that might need encouragement to reduce the carbon impact of their daily travel to work or school.
